Acrylic Nails Training Course

Professional acrylic nails training with assessed case studies
Learn how to apply professional acrylic nail extensions safely, confidently and to industry standards.
This course is designed for qualified manicure therapists who want to progress into nail enhancements and offer clients longer, stronger, more even-looking nails using acrylic.
Acrylic nails are artificial nail enhancements created using a liquid monomer and powder polymer. When combined, the product forms a hard protective layer over the natural nail or nail extension. Once the acrylic hardens, it can be shaped, refined and finished to create a strong, durable nail enhancement.
This is not a quick “watch and copy” nail course.
You will complete guided home study, attend 2 practical training days and complete 9 assessed case studies so your competence can be assessed before certification.

Why choose this acrylic nails course?
Acrylic nail extensions remain one of the most recognised nail enhancement systems in the beauty industry.
Clients may choose acrylic nails because they want their nails to look longer, stronger, smoother and more even. Acrylic can also provide strength and structure for clients who struggle to grow their natural nails.
However, nail enhancements require proper training. You are not just applying product. You are working with the natural nail, preparing the nail plate, understanding liquid and powder ratio, building structure, managing length and shape, refining the enhancement and recognising when treatment may not be suitable.
This course gives you the foundation to work professionally, safely and confidently.
You will not be left to work it all out alone after the training days. Your case studies are reviewed before certification, and your final assessment gives you the opportunity to demonstrate competence before qualifying.

Course structure
This course includes:
Guided home study
You will complete guided home study before or alongside your practical training. This helps you understand the theory behind acrylic nail enhancements and prepares you for the practical training days.
2 practical training days
Your practical training days focus on hands-on skills, product control, treatment routine, technique correction, troubleshooting and building confidence.
Because acrylic nails are a more technical treatment than a basic manicure, learners need time to practice application, ratio, structure, shaping and finishing.
9 assessed case studies
After your practical training, you will complete 9 acrylic nails case studies.
These are submitted for review before certification. This ensures you have practiced the treatment, developed your technique and can show evidence of competence.
What treatments will I be able to offer?
Once you have successfully completed your training, case studies and final assessment, you will be able to offer professional acrylic nail enhancement services, including:
- Acrylic nail extensions
- Acrylic overlays, if covered within your training
- Natural-looking nail enhancements
- Length and shape enhancement
- Strengthening treatments using acrylic
- Maintenance and infill appointments, where appropriate to your training
- Safe aftercare advice for acrylic enhancement clients
You can use this course to expand your nail treatment menu and offer clients a strong and durable nail enhancement system.
Why case studies matter
Case studies are an important part of learning properly.
Acrylic nails take practice. Product ratio, nail preparation, structure, apex placement, filing and finishing all improve with repetition and feedback.
Case studies give you the opportunity to practice on real people, build confidence, refine your technique and show that you can carry out the treatment safely and professionally.
They also help you move from “I’ve attended a course” to “I can actually perform this treatment competently.”
That matters.
Your clients deserve more than a rushed certificate, and so do you.
By the end of the course, you will be able to
- Explain what acrylic nail enhancements are
- Understand the advantages and disadvantages of acrylic systems
- Prepare the natural nail safely and correctly
- Carry out a professional client consultation
- Recognise contraindications and know when treatment may not be suitable
- Mix and apply acrylic product safely and professionally
- Understand liquid and powder ratio
- Build appropriate nail structure, strength and shape
- File, refine and finish the nails neatly
- Give suitable aftercare advice
- Understand common problems and how to avoid them
- Work hygienically and professionally
- Complete an acrylic nails treatment in line with your training protocol
- Build acrylic nail services into your nail or beauty treatment menu
Accreditation and approval
This course is:
- ThinkTree approved
- Towergate insurance approved
You will receive your certificate once your training requirements, 9 case studies and final assessment have been successfully completed.

What makes this different from cheaper acrylic nail courses?
There are many low-cost nail enhancement courses available, but not all training is equal.
Acrylic nails require skill, structure, product control, safe working practice and an understanding of liquid and powder ratio. A short or rushed course may leave learners unsure, under-practiced and lacking confidence.
With Jane Bryan Beauty Training, the focus is on professional competence, not just attendance.
You receive structured learning, practical training, case study requirements, tutor feedback and a final assessment before certification. This gives you a stronger foundation and helps you feel more confident when working with real clients.
A cheap course may give you a certificate.
A proper course should help you become competent.
