Pedicure Training Course

Professional pedicure training with assessed case studies

Learn how to deliver a professional pedicure treatment safely, confidently and to industry standards.

This course is designed for beginners and existing therapists who want to offer high-quality pedicure treatments, either as a standalone service or as part of a wider beauty, nail, holistic or foot-care treatment menu.

A professional pedicure is more than simply cutting toenails and applying polish. You need to understand hygiene, consultation, contraindications, nail and foot conditions, safe filing, cuticle work, massage, product use, aftercare and how to adapt the treatment for different clients.

This is not a quick “turn up and get a certificate” course.

You will complete guided home study, attend a practical training day and submit 3 case studies so your competence can be assessed before certification.

Why choose this pedicure course?

Pedicure treatments can be a valuable and repeatable service within a beauty business. Clients often book pedicures for foot care, relaxation, holidays, seasonal maintenance, confidence and comfort.

However, feet require careful treatment. You need to know when it is safe to treat, when to adapt the treatment and when a client should be referred elsewhere.

This course gives you the foundation to work professionally, safely and confidently.

You will not be left to work it all out alone after the training day. Your case studies are reviewed before certification, so you have the opportunity to practice, build confidence and receive feedback.

Course structure

This course includes:

Guided home study

You will complete guided home study before or alongside your practical training. This helps you understand the theory behind the treatment and prepares you for the practical day.

Learners should allow approximately 18–22 hours in total to complete the course requirements, including home study, practical training, case study treatments and written evidence.

1-day practical training

Your practical training day focuses on hands-on skills, treatment routine, hygiene, technique correction and building confidence.

3 assessed case studies

After your training day, you will complete 3 pedicure case studies.

These are submitted for review before certification. This ensures you have practised the treatment and can show evidence of competence.

What treatments will I be able to offer?

Once you have successfully completed your training and case studies, you will be able to offer professional pedicure treatments, including:

  • Express pedicure
  • Standard pedicure
  • Luxury pedicure
  • Male pedicure
  • Warm oil pedicure
  • Paraffin wax pedicure
  • Pedicure treatments using heated booties
  • Polish application
  • French polish application

You can also use this course as a foundation before progressing onto gel polish or more advanced nail services.

Why case studies matter

Case studies are an important part of learning properly.

They give you the opportunity to practice on real people, develop confidence, refine your technique and show that you can carry out the treatment safely and professionally.

With pedicure treatments, this matters because you are working with the feet and toenails, where hygiene, contraindications and safe treatment decisions are essential.

Case studies help you move from “I’ve attended a course” to “I can actually perform this treatment competently.”

That matters.

Your clients deserve more than a rushed certificate, and so do you.

By the end of the course, you will be able to

  • Carry out a professional pedicure treatment from consultation to aftercare
  • Assess the feet and toenails before treatment
  • Recognise common contraindications and nail conditions
  • Prepare the feet and nails safely and correctly
  • Cut, shape and file toenails appropriately
  • Carry out cuticle work safely
  • Perform a foot and lower leg massage
  • Apply polish neatly and professionally
  • Give suitable aftercare advice
  • Adapt the pedicure treatment to suit different client needs
  • Create different pedicure options for your treatment menu
  • Recommend appropriate add-ons and treatment upgrades

Accreditation and approval

This course is:

  • ThinkTree approved
  • Towergate insurance approved
  • Worth 10 CPD points

You will receive your certificate once your training requirements and 3 case studies have been successfully completed.

A cheap course may give you a certificate.
