E-Filing Training Course

E-FILING

Professional e-filing training with assessed case studies

Learn how to use an electric nail file safely, confidently and to industry standards.

This course is designed for qualified acrylic or UV gel extension therapists who want to improve their filing technique, reduce treatment time and work more efficiently when maintaining artificial nail enhancements.

An electric file can be a valuable tool in a nail business, but only when used correctly. Poor e-filing technique can damage the natural nail, cause discomfort for the client and affect the quality of the finished enhancement.

This is not a quick “pick up the drill and hope for the best” course.

You will complete guided home study, attend practical training and submit assessed case studies so your competence can be reviewed before certification.

Pre-requisites

Learners must already hold either:

  • An acrylic nail extensions qualification
  • A UV gel extensions qualification

This course is not suitable for complete beginners or learners who have not already trained in artificial nail enhancements.

E-filing requires a sound understanding of nail enhancement structure, product placement, safe filing, hygiene and natural nail protection.

Who is this course for?

This course is suitable for:

  • Qualified acrylic nail technicians
  • Qualified UV gel nail technicians
  • Nail technicians wanting to improve filing speed and confidence
  • Therapists who want to reduce physical strain from manual filing
  • Mobile therapists
  • Home-based therapists
  • Salon-based nail technicians
  • Salon owners who want to upskill team members
  • Therapists who already offer nail enhancements but feel nervous using an e-file

This course is not suitable for learners who do not already hold an acrylic or UV gel extensions qualification.

Why choose this e-filing course?

E-filing can make nail enhancement work quicker, smoother and more efficient. It can help with refining product, reducing bulk, shaping enhancements and speeding up maintenance appointments.

However, an electric file must be used with control. You need to understand speed, pressure, angles, drill bits, hand positioning, safety, product awareness and how to avoid over-filing.

Used correctly, e-filing can improve your treatment flow and reduce strain on your hands and wrists.

Used badly, it can cause damage.

This course gives you the foundation to use an e-file safely, professionally and confidently.

You will not be left to work it all out alone after training. Your case studies are reviewed before certification, giving you the opportunity to practice, build confidence and receive feedback.

These are submitted for review before certification. This ensures you have practiced the technique and can show evidence of competence.

Once you have successfully completed your training and case studies, you will be able to use e-filing techniques to support artificial nail enhancement services, including:

  • Acrylic nail enhancement maintenance

  • Supporting faster maintenance appointments
  • Enhancing your existing nail services safely

Why case studies matter

Case studies are an important part of learning properly.

E-filing is a practical skill that requires control, confidence and repetition. You need to understand how the e-file feels in your hand, how different bits behave and how to work safely without causing damage.

Case studies give you the opportunity to practice on real people, develop confidence, refine your technique and show that you can carry out e-filing safely and professionally.

They also help you move from “I’ve attended a course” to “I can actually perform this technique competently.”

That matters.

Your clients deserve more than rushed training, and so do you.

By the end of the course, you will be able to

After successful completion of your training and case studies, you should be able to:

  • Explain what e-filing is used for
  • Choose suitable e-file equipment
  • Understand different drill bits and their uses
  • Work safely and hygienically
  • Carry out a professional client consultation
  • Recognise contraindications and know when treatment may not be suitable
  • Use an e-file with improved confidence and control
  • Apply safe filing techniques on artificial nail enhancements
  • Reduce bulk safely
  • Refine and finish artificial nail enhancements
  • Follow appropriate safety precautions
  • Avoid common e-filing mistakes
  • Give suitable aftercare advice
  • Build e-filing safely into your existing nail enhancement services

Accreditation and approval

This course is:

  • ThinkTree approved
  • Towergate insurance approved

You will receive your certificate once your training requirements and 3 case studies have been successfully completed.

What makes this different from cheaper e-filing courses?

There are many low-cost e-filing courses available, but not all training is equal.

E-filing requires control, product awareness, safe drill bit use and proper technique. If these steps are not understood, the natural nail can be damaged and the client experience can suffer.

With Jane Bryan Beauty Training, the focus is on professional competence, not just attendance.

You receive structured learning, practical training, case study requirements and tutor feedback before certification. This gives you a stronger foundation and helps you feel more confident when using an e-file with real clients.

A cheap course may give you a certificate.

A proper course should help you become competent.
