UV Gel Extension Training Course

Professional UV gel extensions training with assessed case studies
Learn how to apply professional UV gel nail extensions safely, confidently and to industry standards.
This course is designed for qualified manicure therapists who want to progress into nail enhancements and offer clients longer, stronger, more even-looking nails using UV gel.
UV gel nails are artificial nail enhancements applied to the natural fingernail to create length, strength and shape. The gel is cured using ultraviolet light, allowing the product to harden and form a durable nail enhancement.
This is not a quick “watch and copy” nail course.
You will complete guided home study, attend 2 practical training days and complete 8 assessed case studies.

Why choose this UV gel extensions course?
UV gel extensions are a popular alternative to acrylic nails and can be an excellent addition to a nail or beauty treatment menu.
Clients may choose UV gel extensions because they want their nails to look longer, stronger, smoother and more even. They may also prefer UV gel because of the way it feels, looks and cures during application.
However, nail enhancements require proper training. You are not just applying product. You are working with the natural nail, preparing the nail plate, building structure, managing length and shape, understanding product behaviour and recognising when treatment may not be suitable.
This course gives you the foundation to work professionally, safely and confidently.
You will not be left to work it all out alone after the training days. Your case studies are reviewed before certification, and your final assessment gives you the opportunity to demonstrate competence before qualifying.

Course structure
This course includes:
Guided home study
You will complete guided home study before or alongside your practical training. This helps you understand the theory behind UV gel enhancements and prepares you for the practical training days.
2 practical training days
Your practical training days focus on hands-on skills, product control, treatment routine, technique correction, troubleshooting and building confidence.
Because UV gel extensions are a more technical treatment than a basic manicure, learners need time to practice application, structure, shaping and finishing.
8 assessed case studies
After your practical training, you will complete 8 UV gel extensions case studies.
These are submitted for review before certification. This ensures you have practiced the treatment, developed your technique and can show evidence of competence.
What treatments will I be able to offer?
Once you have successfully completed your training, case studies and final assessment, you will be able to offer professional UV gel nail enhancement services, including:
- UV gel nail extensions
- UV gel overlays, if covered within your training
- Natural-looking nail enhancements
- Length and shape enhancement
- Strengthening treatments using UV gel
- Maintenance and infill appointments, where appropriate to your training
- Safe aftercare advice for gel enhancement clients
You can use this course to expand your nail treatment menu and offer clients an alternative to acrylic nail enhancements.
Why case studies matter
Case studies are an important part of learning properly.
UV gel extensions take practice. Product control, nail preparation, structure, apex placement, filing and finishing all improve with repetition and feedback.
Case studies give you the opportunity to practice on real people, build confidence, refine your technique and show that you can carry out the treatment safely and professionally.
They also help you move from “I’ve attended a course” to “I can actually perform this treatment competently.”
That matters.
Your clients deserve more than a rushed certificate, and so do you.
By the end of the course, you will be able to
After successful completion of your training, case studies and final assessment, you should be able to:
- Explain what UV gel nail enhancements are
- Understand the advantages and disadvantages of UV gel systems
- Prepare the natural nail safely and correctly
- Carry out a professional client consultation
- Recognise contraindications and know when treatment may not be suitable
- Apply UV gel extensions safely and professionally
- Build appropriate nail structure, strength and shape
- File, refine and finish the nails neatly
- Give suitable aftercare advice
- Understand common problems and how to avoid them
- Work hygienically and professionally
- Complete a UV gel extensions treatment in line with your training protocol
- Build UV gel extensions into your nail or beauty treatment menu

What makes this different from cheaper UV gel extension courses?
There are many low-cost nail enhancement courses available, but not all training is equal.
UV gel extensions require skill, structure, product control and safe working practice. A short or rushed course may leave learners unsure, under-practised and lacking confidence.
With Jane Bryan Beauty Training, the focus is on professional competence, not just attendance.
You receive structured learning, practical training, case study requirements, tutor feedback and a final assessment before certification. This gives you a stronger foundation and helps you feel more confident when working with real clients.
A cheap course may give you a certificate.
A proper course should help you become competent.
